Negative spirits have (apparently) conspired to "try" to prevent us from meeting on the 5th (some of you have an intimate experience of this phenomenon).
Here is the email I recieved from Ruth today:

Dear David:
I began paving my driveway 2 weeks ago, and it should have been finished by now, but a neighbor of mine called City Hall, lobbied a complaint against me, as he has been known to do frequently for the last 20 years whenever the spirit moves him (God, does he need a healing!)--and work has come to a standstill. The City has now required that I make further changes to the entry from the street, which will also mean a huge and unexpected expense. I'm scrambling to find the funds to be able to complete the work, but the most important thing is that I highly doubt that the driveway and walkway to my house and garden will be completed by next Saturday night, and it would be too dangerous to have people trying to navigate the area, which is now roped off with yellow tape, and not safe to cross.
So, I'm sorry that this won't work out for this coming Saturday, but I would be happy to renew my invitation to you when all of this mess is settled.

"When one door closes, another opens"

In spite of this impediment to us gathering, the good news is that we are still on for the 5th... but the venue has changed to my house in the Valley (Canoga Park). Yes, for some of you, that might not be as convenient as Culver City (sorry), but its really the best i can do on such short notice. I still hope that all of you who have RSVPd can make it (it is really worth the extra drive).

As a reminder (and in case you didnt see it the first time), here is an amended copy of the notice to this event:

Cost to attend these healing gatherings is $20.
However, if you have never before recieved my free "mini" (15-20 minute) healing session "in person" or "remotely" (long distance), then your First Time Attendance is FREE !
Yes, I said it correct - first time attendance is FREE (what a nice word).

We shall start at about 7 pm. Please arrive then, if not a few minutes earlier.
Considering there is a lot that we want to fit into these evenings, Spirit may prompt me to start on time... so try not to be late. But, if you do, dont worry - its all in divine order (better to be late than not come at all). But no matter what, come - we all would love to see you.
(As Woody Allen said, "90 % of success is just showing up").

I dont know precisely when we will end the evening - this last session went on till 10 pm, (and it seemed as if a few didnt really want to leave even then). Lets just play it loose - enjoy the moment... and when its done, its done.

Gatherings are quite friendly, spontaneous and informal, but just know that with Spirit in charge, anything can happen (but whatever does happen, its all in divine order and you are ok).
Spirit is very serious about serving your highest and best interests in the short time we have together. With this in mind, and as the co-creator and facilitator of this work (in addition to being the "director" of the evening), I will try to do my best to be attentive to Spirits overall and specific promptings. Though there is much that needs to be accomplished in our evenings, we are going to have fun, meet and network with many wonderful people and thoroughly enjoy ourselves, but lets not forget that we are also here to heal our souls and clear up our shadow stuff.

I cant think of a better way to spend this 4th of July weekend than gathering with heart centered, spiritually minded beings, in a group that promotes the freedom/liberation/healing/empowerment of the soul. And quite honestly, in my opinion, i feel that the only way we are really going to be able to change this world is if each soul does get free of the binders and limitations that enslave it, and that my friends, is what this work is about (among a great many other things, as you may find out).
