Kirtan Community with Laurel & Dan

We gather together monthly to do the traditional spiritual practice of kirtan (pronounced keer' tahn). Kirtan is group "call & response" devotional chanting. The chants are easy to learn. Our sessions are fun and informal. No previous experience is necessary.

Celebrating Buddha Day (Wesak)
Buddha Day is traditionally celebrated during the full moon in May, and commemorates the days of Gautama Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and departure. Kirtan sessions include periods of discourse and quiet meditation. Children are welcome to attend, and should be able to sit quietly during meditations or discussions.
