This modern approach to the exploration of spirituality draws from all of the world's faith traditions. The experience is a combination of discussion, meditation, readings from both ancient and contemporary literature, live music and film.
Meet other locals to explore spirituality. Share your most profound and transformational personal experiences and talk about ways to incorporate spirituality into your life. Open to people of all faiths, cultures and ages!
Journeys Community was created for people of all backgrounds who are interested in exploring their spiritual paths individually and in connection with others. We held our first meeting in September of 2001 and have been going strong ever since. Our community groups host weekly meetings where we meditate and discuss spiritual ideas from many cultures and faith traditions. Our readings, music, and film clips come from sources as diverse as Mother Teresa, Rumi, and Thich Nhat Hanh, Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan and U2, The Shawshank Redemption, Groundhog Day, The Simpsons and The Wizard of Oz.
With a membership of about 75 people, we typically have about 30 attending each week.
When the month of November rolls around, we are often reminded to take stock of the many blessings in our lives. Thanksgiving day especially, which is quickly approaching, is a time for reflective moments and enjoying the comfort of family and friends. Join us Sunday, November 15th, as we celebrate this season of gratitude. Read more
