What if you could design your own God? What would He-or it-be like? For many years we have let someone else define for us who our God is and what He is like. Many of us have vested the authority to instruct us about God in a member of the clergy, the bible, our parents, maybe a trusted friend. But doing that is a way of giving away your power. Isn't it true that the only reason for believing anything is if it makes your life work better? Does it make your life work better for your God to be wrathful, vengeful, judgmental, or condemnatory?

So let's have a go at making our lives work better by designing our own God. Would your God impart all the secrets of life to you? The secrets of love, happiness, peace, prosperity, good health, and the process of manifestation/personal creation? Would He explain to you all the laws of the Universe?
Christians have the Old Testament and the New Testament. But it is time now for the Brand New Testament! It already exists, by the way, but it is scattered amongst a hundred books, movies, TV programs, lectures, and transcendental experiences. (A Course in Miracles and Conversations With God come to mind.)
So let's ruminate together on recreating God in the image that best serves us, and then let us build Him an altar.

To build our alter, we would like for you to bring something that has spiritual meaning to you; a book, stone, leaf, picture, it could be anything. If you forget to bring something, we will have items that you can choose from.
