The Sacramento Conscious Living Group

It has occurred to me that we are often too concerned with meeting like minded people.
What exactly is like minded? Do we only want to socialize with those who have the same philosophies we do? Who think of God or spirituality in the same way we do? Who know exactly the same things, have read the same books, studied with the same teachers and seen the same movies?
How many people do you know who think and feel exactly as you do?
For each one of us there is a different path. Each of us are at a different place on our path. Each have different philosophies, different perspectives, different perceptions and different things that are true for each of us.
So, this groups purpose is still to offer a place for like minded people to socialize and share, but the like mindedness should be that we can:
-Listen to others perspectives without judgment
-Appreciate the differences between us
-Be open and receptive to different philosophies
-Participate in good, spiritual conversations without defensiveness or offensiveness

We have wonderful meetups planned so please spread the word and I look forward to meeting, sharing, learning and growing with all of you.
