How much choice do we really have? Most people think we have a free choice about what we do. If that is true, why are so many of us living unfulfilled lives - is this the life we want? Ask yourself 'If I am not giving myself the life I want, who is really making all the decisions?'

You are not who you 'think' you are. The Real You is beyond the mind ? but we have been trained to live from the mind, taking us away from our real selves. This eye-opening and lively lecture looks at the Real You exploring who you really are and how you can get back to being You.

Guided by Spiritual Life Change Coach Ankur, and using simple but powerful theory, we will adventure beyond the mind to explore new spaces of awareness and real understanding as we move inwards towards our true selves.

Along the way we will encounter our conditioning from childhood, the constant programming of society, the power that routine has over us and discover that the free choice we think we have about how we live our lives is merely an illusion (to the extent that we don't even have a choice about how we put our trousers on!)

Ultimately you will realise that it is only when we get outside of the mind that we have a choice not only about what we have and do but also about how we feel. This awareness will lead you to be able to make you own choices and take responsibility for your own emotions and feelings.

By looking inside, away from your mind and towards your real self, your self-esteem will start to increase as you see beyond the monotony and constraints of what most people refer to as normal life, realising you do have the choice to move towards the beautiful and fulfilling future you truly want.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced traveller on your 'spiritual path', you will benefit from the clarity and understanding you will get from this entertaining evening.

Can't wait! Love learning about my ultimate potentials.

    •  Zayda, thank you for your comments. I feel you may have missed the points I was making. Firstly I am not angry with my parents - my comments were to illustrate the painful process I went through to reach a deeper loving relationship with them. The swearing was mainly used in 'role play' type situations to illustrate typical real thoughts that are not usually expressed (and so supressed e.g. anger) illustrating the difference between what is real and how we conform to society's expectations. To me spirituality is about becoming aware of, and tackling, our real issues (that we often want to hide away from) to allow us to go deeper and discover that beautiful qualities lie within. However in my experience the path is not all soft pillows and pretty things, it's about having the courage to open up totally and face the often uncomfortable reality and pain, so we can deal with our issues first. Only then we can truly uncover the love, joy, peace and understanding that lie within.

I found Ankar's theory very interesting & it made sense, I enjoyed the Lecture and found very comfortable & didnt lose any interest at all!
    •  I did not get the feeling that Ankur has attained sufficient enlightenment to be in a position to lecture others on spirituality. Swearwords are aggressive. I have no objections to the use of swearwords in conversation for humour or to emphasise a point but my experience of being in the company of an enlighted guide is that they can communicate without aggression. I can understand Ankur feeling anger and resentment at his parenting, and would agree that most of the people who have ever lived have suffered bad parenting, but it is something that we all need to come to terms with and let go of . I feel he has not let go, and I would not wish to entrust a friend of mine into his care. It has quite put me off the whole Meetup Group.
